Wrapped: new art from Richard Levine
Richard Levine's new Wrapped collection was inspired by the iconic Peanuts comic strip. Fusing the instantly recognisable silhouettes of Snoopy, Woodstock and Charlie Brown with iconic patterns used by artists like Roy Lichtenstein and Piet Mondrian, these colourful artworks illustrate his experience as a graphic designer, illustrator and 3D model maker.
For each artwork, Richard generated a digital model and rendered 20-30 similar patterns over the form. He made multiple models to see what worked best and which patterns created the most interesting results.
